What the estimate can—and cannot—tell you
Can UnitSift see inside sealed boxes?
No. The report values visible evidence only. Possible hidden contents are shown as unpriced hypotheses and are excluded from the conservative estimate.
Are the prices guaranteed?
No. Item identity, condition, local demand, platform fees, and time-to-sell can all change the actual result. Every estimate is informational, not an appraisal or guarantee.
Does the MVP use sold eBay listings?
Not yet. The first data connection will use publicly available active eBay listings and clearly label them as asking-price signals. Sold comparables require a licensed or approved source.
How is the maximum bid calculated?
The estimate starts with likely liquidation proceeds, then subtracts resale fees, buyer premium, hauling, disposal, labor reserve, and the bidder's target profit.
